Shot over the course of a year across the Hawaiian Islands, Ode to the North is EM Studios first feature film. Starring professional surfer Eimeo Czermak, the film focuses on Eimeo’s experience coming from the small island of Tahiti to compete amongst the greatest surfers in some of surfing’s top competitions on the North Shore of Oahu.
The EM team directed, produced, shot and edited this project entirely start to finish, using just 4 people. The film premiered at the historic La Paloma Theater in Encinitas California to a sold out crowd and received raving reviews. The premiere was also a charity event which partnered with Surfers Healing to raise over $3,000.
